Baguio is beautiful place, I really interest with this place. I was deployed to Baguio City National High School ( BCNHS). Now, I try to explore the profile, academic system, teaching system, material and other learning source, etc.

A. School Profile

Baguio City National High School ( BCNHS) was Mountain Province High School. There are many classes of this school. Classes were once held at the Teacher's Camp and native girls from the provinces near from Baguio were housed at the BUA dormitory, known today as the Pacdal Elementary School. In 1937, the national government transferred the financial responsibility of  maintaining the secondary school to the city government of Baguio City National High School. This school includes Junior and Senior High School.

This School conducted some programs like Regular, Sport program and Art Program. The Student included into 50-60 students in classroom. I am really enjoy for all of the class. Actually I enter four class, two sport program and two Regular program. The Students was so attractive especially in sport program. My Cooperating Teaching Ma'am Marivic as a teacher in English major, she always support me to teach the students.

B. Academic Support System

The facility of this school is complete, such as library, medical, dental services, record office, swimming pool, counseling and auditorium, and a lot of schoolyard, music instrument and others.

C. Teaching System

This School use approach, method and model for every meeting of the lesson. The teacher should use Daily Lesson Plan every week and each week need some evaluation. The teacher also need to write Lesson plan and create the new strategy every month. I am so happy because from this, I learn about how to be creative teacher. I am so great full to know it specially when Ma'am Marivic teach in the class, she is so creative teacher and very humble for all of students.

D. Material and Learning Source

This school uses a system for English as a basic subject, as I know English in Philippine is a second language and very basic for the students to understand. It possible for me to work hard and learn more about English as second language. The material should be better than and interesting. The materials that teacher use to teach are variation like video, instructional material, worksheet and etc.

E. Measurement and Evaluation System

The teacher use worksheet, assignment, quiz, and final exam to measurements and evaluation. The teachers should have to make a lesson plan and daily lesson plan for every meeting.

F. Curriculum

This School use K to 12 Curriculum, policy guidelines on the implementation of grades 1 to 10 of the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum ( BEC) Effective school year 2012-2013. The K to 12 curriculum consist for  kindergarden, Elementary School, Junior High School and Senior High School.

Student should acquire in -depth knowledge, skill, values, and attitudes through continuity and consistency across all levels and subjects. Discussions and issues such as Disaster Risk Reduction ( DRR), Climate Change Adaptation, and Information & Communication Technology (ICT) are included in the enhanced curriculum.

F. Teaching Plan/ Lesson Plan

The basic thing to teach is Lesson Plan, without lesson plan, teachers couldn't teaching effectively. Lesson plan includes learning objectives, learning content, learning assessment, learning procedure and assignment. Lesson plan must based on SMART and cognitif, affective and psycomotoric. My cooperative teaching ask me to observe three classes, for 7.30 a.m until 2.00 p.m. Each class 40-50 students, all students are active in the class. The students understand and sometimes they ask for questions, the teacher give more explanation and discuss it so the students had understood.
